Ideas APart An Array of Artwork by Jefferson County High School's First AP Art Class |

Robin Studdard Being in AP Art has given me a chance to develop my artistic abilities. During the course of the year I have been able to experiment with every media available to me and practiced mixing and matching them. In the piece “The Path” (pictured) I mixed the medias of pastel, pencil, and India ink. By my variety in the use of media I have brought depth and different textures to this piece. My art skills have developed quite a lot throughout the year. I have surprised myself with some of the pieces I’ve created. In many of my works I’ve used the differences of color and line to convey depth. The majority of my art work is classified as realism. I enjoy capturing how and object truly looks, but I don’t like my works to look rigid with only sharp edges. I like to make the picture my own by adding things that aren’t necessarily there. I am very excited about showcasing three of my
artworks at the Firehouse Gallery. |
