Ideas APart

An Array of Artwork by Jefferson County High School's First AP Art Class

Ashley Williams

The artwork that I have been working on would be considered surrealism. Surrealistic art is very interesting and unique. My artworks consist of dream-like qualities, but when viewed closely reality is still present. Throughout the semester I have experimented different styles of art, with a variety of mediums.

In my featured piece I decided to use water color and pencil. This work was created during my early stage of experimenting. By doing this I really decided to challenge and go against myself, even though this piece was just an experiment I think it turned out to be a success. As I continued to challenge myself I could see my works starting to improve.
Within the course of my AP art class I honestly believe that a Good artist can produce great art, and once the artist has evolved into a great artist, then the art itself evolves into a brilliant masterpiece.
