Ideas APart

An Array of Artwork by Jefferson County High School's First AP Art Class

Anthony Freeman

My work has evolved from many different topics ranged from surrealism to realism. My main focus is surrealism which is shown in my dragon man piece. I am very proud of this piece because it turned out the way I had pictured it in my mind. The use of colors and texture was just what I wanted for this piece.

My second piece that will be featured in the exhibit is a very dark figure grasping a small sword. This, by far, is my favorite piece because it was my first time experience with paint. I tried not to give it a distinct outline and tried to make the colors blend into one another. There are parts of my piece where I gave a strong outline.

My third and final piece is a detailed drawing of a bird dog. I wanted to capture the way it stood and I wanted to get every little detail ranging from its muscles to its facial features. So far, my work has turned out to surprise me because I am producing a lot of wonderful pieces and I hope it continues.
